There's something about August in Minneapolis. It's still light out at almost nine, and the whole city feels awake.
We started the morning at the Hewing Hotel, where Brittany and her bridesmaids got ready.
Before we crossed the river, we took advantage of the north loop neighborhood and then headed down the street to Mill City Museum for group portraits. The brick alleyways and old warehouses fit the industrial-chic vibe Brittany and Jason were hoping for.
Their wedding ceremony at Nicollet Island Pavilion was outside, right along the river, with the sun out and a canopy of trees overhead. The reception just had the best energy. The toasts had the whole room laughing, then crying, then laughing again. That same feeling carried straight onto the dance floor. Every single guest was out there at some point.
