Sara and Jeff kept their wedding day simple and personal, celebrating with just their immediate family on a gorgeous Cape Cod style private estate on Lake Edward in Merrifield, Minnesota. Sara's sister helped her into her lace-back wedding dress before the ceremony took place on the sandy beach. With eucalyptus and lace as simple ceremony decor, they exchanged vows lakeside with only their closest family members present.

After the ceremony, the group gathered at the cottage for champagne toasts and an intimate reception. The small guest list allowed for genuine moments and easy conversation throughout the day—no formality, just family celebrating together.

As the sun began to set over the lake, Sara and Jeff stepped back onto the beach for their first dance. Just the two of them, the water, and that golden evening light. The rest of the evening was spent capturing portraits around the cabin—on the dock overlooking the lake, along the wooded paths, and back on the beach as the sun dipped below the horizon.

Sara and Jeff's day showed that a beautiful wedding doesn't require a big venue or hundreds of guests, just the right people and a setting that feels like home.
