Amanda and Rollie got married at sunset in the woods on Artist's Point in Grand Marais, with Lake Superior behind them and a small group of family, friends, and their dog there to watch. They kept everything simple and Scandinavian-leaning. The minimalist aesthetic carried through every detail, from Amanda's simple, modern gown and dried flower bouquet to Rollie's pine tree-engraved wedding band.
After the ceremony, everyone threw lavender confetti, and then the three of us headed out onto the rocks to catch the last of the light and the fall colors of the North Shore. Dinner was at the North House Folk School, with a candlelight, Nordic-inspired reception. Long wooden tables, simple glassware, and a warm lantern glow emphasized the couple's love for timeless, purposeful design. Their wedding day felt both deeply personal and suited them perfectly.
